Dr. Lesedinyana Odiseng is the Founding Head of the Department of Sports and Exercise Medicine, Rehabilitation, and Occupational Medicine at Bokamoso Private Hospital. He is the only accredited Specialist in Occupational Medicine in Botswana and one of a few in Southern Africa. He is currently the Medical Director of the Medical Orthopaedic Sports and Occupational Clinics (MOSO clinics) based at the Lenmed Bokamoso Private hospital.

Before joining Bokamoso Private Hospital, Dr Odiseng spent the previous 12 years working in Occupational Medicine in the United Kingdom. During six of these years, he worked as a Senior Occupational Physician for BUPA Wellness looking after a variety of companies across the United Kingdom. He also worked for a Specialist Sports clinic in Birmingham, UK.

Dr Odiseng did his undergraduate training in medicine at the Nottingham University Medical School in the UK. In the early 1990’s he did higher professional training in Family Medicine that ultimately led him to work as a Medical Officer for Debswana Diamond Mining Company in the mid-nineties. After this he went back to the UK to do higher professional specialist training in Sports and Exercise Medicine and Occupational medicine.

Dr Odiseng was previously the Faculty of Occupational Medicine Representative in the Intercollegiate Board of The Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine (UK), and a Council Member of the Specialist Advisory Committee (SAC).

He was a committee member of the BNSC medical sub-committee and presently chairs the Botswana Football Association Medical Committee. He is also the medical advisor to the Netball Youth World Cup to be held in Gaborone in 2017. Dr Odiseng is the International Olympic Committee (IOC) National Sports Medicine Course Director for Botswana. He is a founding trustee of Health 1st Foundation, an organisation whose mandate is to bring quality health care to the marginalised in Botswana. Dr Odiseng also serves on the Board of Trustees of the First National Bank Botswana Foundation.

Dr Odiseng holds Bachelor of Medical Sciences (BMedSci) and Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (BMBS) degrees from the University of Nottingham (UK). He also holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree from the Leads Metropolitan University. At specialist level Dr Odiseng holds the qualification of Membership of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine (MFOM (UK)) as well as Specialist qualifications in Sports and Exercise Medicine (Membership of the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine (MFOM (UK)) and the Fellowship of the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine (FFSEM (I)). In 2002 he was awarded the Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) in the UK
